My Top Choice of 21 Superfoods

The term superfoods has gained a lot of popularity and is used a great deal lately. But what are superfoods? Let’s start with the basics shall we! Superfoods are nutrient-packed foods that are beneficial to your health and overall wellness providing your body with the nutrients that it needs to repair and grow.


There are so many different types of superfoods chose from that are great to help you achieve optimal health. To help simplify, I’ve narrowed down my favorite 21 superfoods that everyone should try and incorporate into their daily meals each day. Use the checklist below to help track how many Superfoods you each every each day.

PROTEIN

  • Lean red meat, (93% lean, top round, sirloin, flank)

  • Fish (salmon, cod, roughy)

  • Omega-3 eggs

  • Low-fat plain Greek yogurt or cottage cheese

  • Protein supplements (plant-based, whey protein isolates, or casein)


VEGGIES AND FRUITS

  • Greens (kale, spinach, collard greens, beet greens, dandelion greens)

  • Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower)

  • Mixed berries (goji, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)

  • Seaweed


CARBOHYDRATES
